Dr. Suzanne Dupuis-Blanchard is a registered nurse, professor at the School of Nursing at Université de Moncton where she holds a Research Chair in Population Aging and is the Director of the Centre on Aging. She has over 35 years of experience working with older adults, first as a community health nurse, and now as a professor researcher. Her program of research focuses on the multiple dimensions of aging in place as well as issues related to aging in Official Language Minority Communities (OLMC). She is the innovator of Nursing Home Without Walls, a pan-Canadian program to support aging in place, for which she was recognized by the United Nations Healthy Ageing 50 initiative and the Senate of Canada. She is a past chairperson of the National Seniors Council at the federal government, past president of the Canadian Association on Gerontology (CAG), and a long-time member of the Canadian Gerontological Nurses Association (CGNA). She is a Fellow of both the Royal Society of Canada and the Canadian Academy of Nursing.
